Oma toodete kRIMInaalselt madalate hindadega poeketti müügile saamiseks tuleb nõustuda nende koostatud lepinguga ja see tähtajaks alla kirjutada. Kui teiste poekettidega on võimalik läbirääkimisi pidada, siis Rimi seda ei võimalda. Tsiteerin katkendeid intervjuust.

Rimi valmistab lepingu ette, saadab tootjale ja tootja lihtsalt kas kirjutab õigel ajal alla ja jätkab oma müümist kauplusteketis või ei kirjuta alla ja järgmine päev leiab kogu oma toodangu ukse tagant. Mingit vastaspoolega läbirääkimist hinnakujunduse osas ei toimu.

Väga paljude tootjate ja mitte ainult lihatööstuste tagasiside on olnud, et teiste poekettidega on võimalik läbirääkimisi pidada aga mitte kRIMInaalselt madalate hindadega tegutsejatega. Nende lepingud on juba ka algselt paremad ja nendega pole probleemi alla kirjutada.

Väga peened trikid on jaanipäeva või jõulede eel tootja välja viskamiseks, sest näiteks tema pakendis olev kogus erineb 20 protsendi võrra Rimi oodatavast. Seda tuleb mõista siis kauba kastile seatud kaalu erinevusena, mitte kogu partii kaalu erinevusena. Näiteks ei ole maasika karp mitte 500 g koos pakendiga, vaid 500 g + pakend ja selline erinevus on põhjuseks olnud terve partii tootjale tagasi saatmiseks. Taoline süsteem pakendiga kaalumisest rakendus 2007. ja paljud tootjad ei saanudki aru, miks neile saadeti tagasi kogu partii väitega, et kaaluerinevus oli rohkem kui 20 protsenti. Kuidas nad said koorma tonne arvestada 1/5 ulatuses ekslikult?

Võib ju nüüd küsida, et miks tööstused seda lasevad sündida? Vastus on väga lihtne. Neid mängitakse üksteise vastu välja, nendega käitutakse “jaga ja valitse” põhimõtte ning kokkuvõttes saavad nad kõik kahju. Paljud on ka pankrotistunud. Käesoleval aastal loodab Rimi säilitada oma majandustulemused ja mitte kahjumisse jääda. Nüüd on siis teada, milliste vahenditega seda saavutatakse.
